1:04 a.m. - 06.02.03 Let's see, what has happened, broadly? I'm pretty much finished with the Azumanga Daioh outfit, and it is explicitly cute. All that remains is to find a gold clasp for the dangly gold thing under the collar, so I can add the strings that hang below it - so, I'm going to go hunting at Jo-Ann's or something soon, although there's not much rush. It's been very good for me, I think - I created something, and it looks reasonably good, and I am proud of it, and proud of myself for doing it. Most of the things that I consider my hobbies do not actually produce anything physical, and so I sometimes wonder if I am wasting my time. So, sewing is something that I can enjoy, and at the same time, produce something! Being sick is no fun, especially when it is the kind of sick that makes you have to sit down in the library stacks clutching your head in ouchy pain. But luckily the beast seems to have disappeared, and I am feeling much better. While at the library I got a book on knitting, because it just Sounded like so much fun when Deidre and her friends talked about it, a book on Japanese film that was by a guy I think we talked about in lit and film class, and...three Buffy things. Yes, now even the library has become a source for my obsession. They apparently carry graphic novels now, so I borrowed one of those, and two books, one a collection of short stories about various different slayers, and another one of those BTVS books that they market at teenagers, because it looked vaguely interesting and has Faith in it. But it doesn't get touched until American Gods is finished - but that should be soon. Speaking of Gaiman, the library has Sandman GNs...this pleased me immensely. I could only find three, but maybe that's because the others were checked out! They have placed in the "new teen book" section, which seems a bit...off, but I guess the fact that they have them is more than enough! Gosh I love "teen" books. Gosh I love the library. I tried to get a copy of the third Harry Potter book to reread, but unfortunately they did not have a single copy of it on the shelves...forty copies of the others, though, of course. My room is too chilly. If I can't go around without socks on and be comfortable, it is officially too chilly in the house. I love my little elephant Hello Kitty (thanks 'manda-chan!) : ) I was playing with it today while talking to my mom, and it is just darling to put her ears over her eyes for some reason - I was thoroughly entertained. Basil was thoroughly jealous.
