3:27 p.m. - 07.01.03 I am lazy lazy lazy! Today I woke up early by accident, and was going to stay up all day and be productive and clean my room, but instead I watched two episodes of Furuba and fell asleep :). I did end up putting my huge bag of clothes away in my closet, so that's one thing. Now all of my clothes are hung on hangers or put in drawers and there isn't a big huge bag sitting in my room waiting to be dealt with. Let's see...On Saturday Rhonda, Dru, Nick, Dan and I went to New York City and walked around. A lot. We went and played in Central Park, and saw lots of different buildings, and I took pictures of some BMW stuff for Tom including a cool billboard for The Hire featuring a gigantic Clive Owen! We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe to be touristy, but it was cute and there was a scary bathroom attendent who poured soap into our hands and turned on the faucets. Sometime during the trip I began to feel kind of melancholy for no real reason at all...I don't know. I came home and talked on the phone with Tom for three hours and felt much better. Thinking about the future makes me go off into my own little world much of the time... Sunday was just weird. I slept most of the day, and then was up from midnight until 6 in the morning, when I fell asleep again and probably slept until one the next day. I wanted to go to Julia's house because she was having a movie night, but my mom wouldn't let me go out in the snow and I decided that it would be best not to defy her in some stupid self-righteous stand that would only get me in trouble in the end. What did I do instead? I watched about 7 episodes of the ridiculously addictive Fushigi Yuugi, and 4 episodes of Nadesico, which Dru's boyfriend Ken lent to me. Yesterday I waited until my mother was home so that I could use the car and went searching for fabric for my Azumanga Daioh uniform. You'd probably be surprised how hard it is to find just the right fabric that isn't quite pink, isn't quite salmon, but is more of a pinky salmonish color. I found exactly what I wanted, but it was only available at Jo-ann's in quarter sheets, which is just too small. There were lots of colors that were pretty similar, but...grr! :p I got to drive in the snow, which was pretty fun, if only because it was so beautiful. It makes me nervous when I can't see the lines on the road, and driving on 309 when the lines were obscured was probably the scariest thing I have done in a while. But still a cool experience! mmmm...semi-fake-death-defying.... Today should be a national holiday or something. Why? Because it's street release day for the Buffy 3rd season DVD set! :) How long have I been talking about this now? hehehe it must be sooo annoying! Now for random social diary-ing: Doug, I think that glass bowling pins is the best idea ever. Bowling is pretty exciting already, just IMAGINE how exciting it would be if the pins exploded into shards of glass and you had to dodge the far-flying shards? Yes, yes, I think that is definitely an idea to consider. And Amy, if the editor doesn't email me with the visual art names soon, I will definitely be putting you in as the artist for all of the pieces I don't know the artists for :). PS: I love people who sign my guestbook! Dan is cool too, even if I don't have anything fun to say about him! "it's such an icy feeling...it's so cold in Alaska..."
