11:19 p.m. - 25.03.03 In other news, my uncle and I had a nice discussion about BTVS. Ah, common interests :). Tomorrow I leave for Japan, which means that today I have lots of stuff to take care of in the getting ready department. I bought some plug adaptors for my computer, should the cord still work when I get there, mailed some stuff, and still have to pack two separate bags, one to be sent to my homestay and one to be taken with me to the hotel. Really, as nice as it has been here, and as nicely as I have been treated, I really want to go to Japan and get things started. And binge on buying Psycho le cemu's newer cds if I can find them, as well as any and all Azumanga Daioh merchandise that is still around. And maybe, just maybe, find some of that rereleased Evangelion stuff that is supposedly out now because of the remastered editions and the game that I hear so much about in Newtype USA. AHAHAHA. Yes. And maybe Japan has bookstores that are easy for me to find. Congratulations to Chicago for winning best picture! Now I will have to go watch it obsessively on my computer until it finally dies. Although, I would have preferred The Two Towers as best picture, but at least Gangs of New York didn't win. Not that it wasn't a good movie (or rather, not that Daniel Day-Lewis didn't give a good performance)... but I like what I like. Yesterday we went to the Korean Folk Village, and there was this big mixup with the lunches. And I ate squid. And it was gross. Not gross tasting, but just gross in that "ew, I just ate something with squirmy little tentacles" way. Needless to say, most of it ended up being fed to the feral cats that were roaming about.
